1:1 Leadership Coaching for Women of color

This work is for the woman who has been showing up for everyone—and is ready to show up for herself.

You have been leading inside systems that were not built for you, carrying more than your share, and doing it brilliantly — while something quieter and more important has been waiting for your attention.

My 1:1 coaching is for WOC executives and emerging leaders in mission-based, nonprofit, and social justice work who are ready to lead from a different place. Not more efficiently. Not more strategically. More fully — from the body, the values, the voice that is already yours.

This if for you if…

  • You give everything to the people around you and have very little left for yourself

  • You advocate fiercely for your team and go quiet when it comes to your own needs

  • You feel the impact of hard conversations in your body before you can name them in words

  • You have been told you are ready for more — and part of you is still asking if that's true

  • You are navigating a promotion, a transition, or a deepening of your leadership and you want support that meets the full complexity of who you are

  • You are done leading from survival mode and ready to lead from something more grounded

Marisa empowered me to advocate for myself with a difficult employer. I didn’t think my one voice mattered up against a large company — but with her encouragement, I was able to stand up for myself and have a favorable outcome.

What our work looks like

We begin with your values and character strengths — not your gaps. You have spent enough time in rooms focused on what you were missing. We start from what is already strong in you, because who you are is a more powerful starting point than who you think you should become.

We work with your body as a leadership tool. Your nervous system, your breath, the shape you hold when you walk into a difficult conversation — these are data, and we learn to read them together.

We name what has been running silently: the over-accommodation, the silenced voice, the belief that you have to earn your place in every room. We bring it into the light with curiosity, not judgment.

We build evidence — a growing record of your wins, your breakthroughs, your own words on the days you knew exactly who you were. For the days when you forget.

And we do it with laughter, warmth, and a directness that tells you the truth because it respects you too much not to.

I work with a small number of clients at a time so I can go deep, not wide. If you are a WOC executive or emerging leader ready to do this work — let's talk.
